Why We Give
At Southwest Church, we see giving as a way to reflect the generosity we’ve experienced from God. The Bible teaches that stewardship goes beyond managing resources—it’s a reflection of our heart and relationship with God. When we give generously, we get into the habit of seeing that everything we have is a gift from God and should be used for His purpose.
We encourage giving the first 10% of your income as a way to put our trust in God and prioritize what really matters. It’s not just about money; it’s about showing gratitude and making sure our actions align with our values.
The Bible tells us that “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:6-7). Essentially, when we give, we’re investing in something bigger than ourselves—helping others, supporting our community, and making a positive difference. Your contributions help us make a meaningful impact and bring hope and support to those who need it.
When you give to Southwest, you impact the lives of people in the Coachella Valley and around the world.. Because of your generosity, we are able to bless others, create new opportunities and meet the needs of those in the community.
